RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. I really liked a video by Common Craft (www.commoncraft.com)that does a really good job of explaining simply what RSS does for someone who is interested in using it to surf the web for articles on specific topics. In short, RSS brings interesting articles to you so you don't have to look for them. You can also put an RSS feed on your own website or blogg.
